What's Alaska Tramper
I started my business with the idea I could be a different kind of contractor. My approach is simple, I do one project at a time, your project. I am not running around managing several projects at once. When I am on your project it is the only project I am working on. My business is simple, it is small, honestly it is mostly just me. I could probably make more money by running more jobs, but I am at a point in life where more does not necessarily mean better.
I take pride in the variety of projects I have done over the years: Complete condo remodel, multiple decks, sheds, fences, bathroom kitchen, basement remodels. Remote cabin Solar power set up. I preform handyman services, and you might get me to do a small painting project.
I like my clients, they are my neighbors, I don't take on any just projects, but I will do most projects, I like small, interesting projects. Give me a shout and let's talk.

If you have discovered the benefits of taking a sauna, you know. There is nothing quite like having a sauna in your own back yard. I built my sauna because we wanted a sauna in our backyard, and I wanted to learn how to build one. Building a barrel sauna combines construction and woodworking skills. the barrel uses age old "Cooperage" techniques. Each piece of wood is custom milled so they all fit together as one. there are no nails or screws hold the barrel together. the end result is an all wood structure, which heats easily all year round. 20-30 minutes and it is hot enough to soak up the heat.

I spent years in the facility management field, and I learned much during those years about managing projects and contractors. I offer a range of services to help you get your project done. Ranging from full start to finish General Contracting services to coordinating jobs. If you have a contractor I can be a liaison between you and a contractor. Sometimes it is hard to deal with contractors. I think I am pretty good at it, and I get along with most contractors. Mostly my technique centers around communication and everyone having a clear understanding of what is going to happen next and when.
